Who We Are
Halo of Hope is a non-profit organization committed to supporting children and senior citizens across North Mississippi during the holiday season. We exist to serve families who need a little extra help, offering hope and encouragement through practical support. Our efforts are focused on creating meaningful impact within our local communities, ensuring that no child or senior feels forgotten during a time meant for joy and celebration.
Where We Started
Our story began in 2021, when a group of dedicated volunteers, many of whom had spent years involved in an Angel Tree Christmas Program, came together with a shared vision. Motivated by a desire to go further and do more, they formed Halo of Hope to meet growing needs in DeSoto County and neighboring areas. What started as a small act of kindness has since developed into an organized effort fueled by compassion and community support.
What We Do
Each year, our Christmas program connects generous sponsors with local children and senior citizens who need help during the holidays. Families apply and submit documentation, and each approved individual is represented on an ornament with their gift needs and wishes. Sponsors then shop for their selected child or senior, providing essential items and thoughtful gifts that bring joy and relief during a season that can otherwise feel overwhelming. Through this program, we work together to bring hope to those who need it most.
