About Halo of Hope of North Mississippi

"Angel Tree Christmas Program"

Halo of Hope is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and senior citizens across North Mississippi who need extra help during the holidays. Founded in 2021 by volunteers from an Angel Tree Christmas Program, our mission is to address unmet needs in DeSoto County and surrounding communities. Through our annual Christmas program, generous sponsors provide gifts and essential items, bringing joy and relief during the festive season. Join us in spreading hope throughout our community.

How the Halo of Hope Angel Program Works:

We collect names of children and senior citizens, from various schools, daycares, and social media, who are in need of extra help during the Christmas season. The families then provide income and residency documentation, along with information on the child and/or senior. Once they have provided proper documentation, we place their information on an ornament (or on the website) for you, the Angel (sponsor), to choose from. The ornaments will be located on a tree at Side Alley Gifts in Hernando, Trusty Nutrition and Rave Nutrition in Southaven. There will also be a list of all our needs here on our Halo of Hope website.

The Angel (sponsor), will then shop for their child and/or senior, and drop off gifts on (Date: TBD) from (Time: TBD) at (Location: TBD).

Once the gifts are collected, families will pick up their child’s/senior citizen’s gifts the following weekend. We ask that you do NOT wrap the gifts. This is helpful to the parents (Santa). You may include wrapping supplies if you wish. Each recipient will receive a stocking from Halo of Hope. You’re welcome to add extra items or a gift for the parent. We ask that you put all purchased items in a WHITE garbage bag with the child’s or senior’s NAME & CODE written in black sharpie. If you are buying a bike or bulky item please label those with the child’s NAME & CODE.

Remember wants are just that, wants. We do ask you to get at least one outfit for your child/senior citizen. We also accept monetary donations and will provide you with a receipt.
